Construction Routing Map
We have recently moved into the main construction phase for Bramford Solar Farm located on land near Burstall Hill, Burstall, Suffolk.
Since December 2025, the contractor have established their temporary welfare and site laydown areas. From February through to March 2026, construction of the site roads will begin, followed by installation of the solar array piles, and initial works on the battery foundations.
Verdant Energy will deliver Bramford Solar Farm and Battery Storage through the construction phase and into operations. Verdant Energy brings decades of experience in project development, delivery, and operations of renewable projects across the UK and abroad.
The Solar Farm will be connected into the local electricity network. This will power the equivalent of 10,600 homes and displace 4,660 tonnes of CO2 every year it is in operation.
The battery storage will provide power for over 80,000 homes for a duration of 2 hours, multiple times per day.
To keep the community informed and involved we held a Public Information Event on Tuesday 15th July 2025 at Burstall Village Hall.
Engagement with the Community
Online Form
Please feel free to get in touch with us using the online form on the right-hand side.
We believe that it’s right that the community closest to a solar farm is able to benefit from it. In addition, we believe that the community itself is best placed to say what the community benefit should be. If you have an idea for a sustainable community-based scheme or project, then please share your idea with us.
Community Liaison Group
The project team holds a Community Liaison Group meeting with representatives every month. Please find the minutes for the meeting below -
